This training will assist participants in increasing their capacity with effective and actionable skills as it relates to trauma and displacement. Participants will become familiar with the impacts of trauma and its effects on the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural function as it relates to the different stages of migration including pre-migration, during migration, and post-migration. They will better understand complex trauma, and the mental health supports needed for newcomer populations as they navigate the settlement process. The training will equip participants with trauma informed insights, strategies, and tools for addressing trauma related to conflict and displacement.
