Eco-Anxiety in Youth and Young Adults: Addressing the Effects of Climate Change on Mental Health Through a Trauma Lens

April, 2 @ 1:00 pm - April, 3 @ 4:00 pm

By viewing eco-anxiety through a trauma lens, explore how experiencing or witnessing environmental degradation can lead to psychological distress and poor health outcomes especially among young people. Learn approaches for integrating eco-anxiety-conscious care within the framework of evidence-based practices (Cook et al., 2017). Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights into global environmental challenges and the trickle-down effect these issues have on the mental well-being of youth and young adults. Through compassionate dialogue and practical strategies, this training strives to cultivate a space of healing and empowerment for those interested in helping individuals affected by eco-anxiety.
